In a Top Gun-themed event hosted by Andrei “Dreister” Felix, LG Philippines introduced its new line of monitors and displayed its latest, most powerful and technologically advanced monitors to date.
LG Philippines’ managing director Sungjae “Airboss” Kim claims the company would continue to innovate and improve its monitor line-up to meet the demands of its customers. Furthermore, he said,
“We’ve made great strides to elevate the user-experience of our monitors–from adapting to flexible workstations and upgrading our systems with new generation gaming standards.”
Meanwhile, the most prominent gamers, artists, and producers in the country vouch to the power, image quality, and adaptability of LG’s current monitor line-up.
Eric “Eruption” Tai, an actor, TV host, and “FitGamer,” had a blast at the event’s race car-themed gaming setup, which was made possible by the 32GQ950 OLED Monitor. He remarked,
“The contrast is just amazing with the bright whites and the deep, dark blacks. It provides a truly immersive experience whether you’re gaming for hours on end or just relaxing and bingeing on series and movies. And, it’s also equipped with HDMI 2.1.”
Eric was joined on stage by Jane Pactoranan – business development manager and she further explained that the LG UltraGear 32GQ950 boasts a 4K resolution on a 32-inch Nano IPS display alongside a rapid 144Hz refresh rate (O/C 160Hz) and swift 1ms (GtG) response time. Additionally, the display has been approved by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) to provide 1,000 nits of peak brightness, allowing for a wider dynamic range of colors and darker blacks.
Even so, “PBA Ironman” LA Tenorio was blown away by the size and picture quality of LG’s flagship monitor, the 48GQ900 OLED. The 48GQ900 OLED monitor has a quick response time and immersive display thanks to its use of award-winning OLED technology with self-lit pixels. This guarantees that it is compatible with next-gen game consoles. B2B marketing communications officer Janille Umali has noted that the self-lit pixels contribute to the lightning-fast response time. This monitor’s huge screen is meant to offer an unparalleled viewing experience. There will be no interruptions to your concentration on the game thanks to the integrated anti-glare and reduced reflection technology. Using this for extended amounts of time also helps protect the eyes from fatigue. This monitor is lightning fast, much like LA, who is widely regarded as one of the best point guards in the country. The refresh rate is 120 Hz, and the reaction time is 0.1 ms. And if you really want to test the limits, you can overclock it to 138Hz. Having such a high frame rate allows for clearer rendering of in-game objects and a more fluid gaming experience by reducing ghosting. You may mount it on the wall or put it on display in your living room, game room, or any other area thanks to its thin profile. The unit also has its own remote control. This is not a slouch when it comes to sound quality. There are two built-in 20-watt speakers. The DTS:Headphone X realistic 3D surround sound and the four-pole headphone outputs allow LA to communicate with his squad and other gamers.
“Magic” Liwanag, a photographer, echoed the praise for the LG Dual Up 28MQ780-B’s adaptability, calling it a “blessing” for artists like himself. He continues,
“The 16:18 aspect ratio and the freedom to swivel [the monitor] allows me to multitask in a completely different way.”
LG’s Ergo range is created with these types of users in mind, as explained by Greg de Jesus, marketing communications officer for home entertainment. The monitor may be moved forward and backward, swiveled, rotated, tilted, and more for optimal viewing. Set it up however you like to maximize efficiency and sink your teeth into your work. In addition, the ambient light sensor and DCI-P3 98%** color gamut ensure comfortable viewing without strain on the eyes.
Myrtle “MyrtleGail” Sarrosa, a gaming content maker, was particularly drawn to the 29WP500-B 29-inch, 21:9 UltraWide monitor because, in her words,
“What I love about this monitor is that even if ideally pang work siya, sobrang bilis pa rin for gaming.”
She was accompanied by IT monitor sales and marketing manager Ryan Nulud, who showcased the monitor’s wide viewing angle and explained why it’s ideal for remote workers and distance learners. Turn the large screen into your preferred online classroom, complete with easy management of texts, lectures, chats, and searches all in a single perspective. It’s a very spacious area. If you use this feature, you can view many reports at once, as well as have multiple data sheets and presentation slides open at the same time, saving you time and effort from having to repeatedly use Alt+Tab. Both AMD Free Sync and Dynamic Action Sync are built in, and they benefit players by making it look like they’re moving naturally and fluidly in high-resolution, fast-paced games. It drastically lessens tearing and stuttering on the display.
At some point, tech nerd and LG monitor fanatic Gab “Viper” Valenciano joined Myrtle and Ryan on their show. He has long relied on LG displays in his own studio, so when the opportunity to test out the LG UltraGear 32GN500 in a Top Gun–inspired flight simulator setup presented itself, he jumped at the chance. When he saw the HD picture and crisp details on the LG UltraGear 32GN500, he was blown away.
“Aside from the solid features, the design is killer as well. It’s virtually borderless and looks good anywhere you put it, whether in the living room or your man cave. Two thumbs up for me .”
The blurring and ghosting he had always assumed were inevitable were also barely noticeable to him. Quick response times and fluid animations are a result of the high refresh rate of the display. The 1m MBR and 165Hz Refresh Rate make for a less choppy gaming experience by eliminating blur and ghosting. For even more refined, fluid, and rapid movement, it also includes NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium.
The 27UP850-W 27-inch UHD 4K IPS is favored by Vikka “Lightning” Francisco of The Modern Creatures, while Isa “Pink” Rodriguez of Isa Does and the LITT website has become fond of the LG 27UN880-B 27-inch UHD 4K Ergo IPS Monitor for its convenient layout. She goes on to say,
“This monitor really helps you keep your workstation neat and clean with its one-click mount, c-clamp, easy cable management system, and its USB-C compatibility. “
Through a large donation-in-kind of 30 LG UltraGear 32GN500 monitor units, LG Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to helping the community through its products and technologies by providing monitors for use in the Philippine Navy’s Naval Air Wing’s Operating Squadron Offices and Flight Briefing Stations, Command and Control Center, Operations Center, and flight simulation rooms to display lectures, flight deck videos, flight performance briefing and debriefing, active w/r/t, and other similar activities.
The LG 2022 screens are now on sale at LG’s official flagship stores on Lazada and Shopee, as well as other approved retailers. For further information, you can check LG Philippines’ social media accounts or go to their official website (www.lg.com/ph).
