January 31, 2023Last Janaury 18, 2023 at the Rockwell Plant in Makati City marked the first public event for the GAC MOTOR Philippines brand under new distributor Astara Philippines, with the simultaneous launch of the EMPOW and all-new GS8.
Both the EMPOW and the brand-new GS8 contribute to GAC MOTOR’s goal of becoming a world-renowned, premium automaker known for their innovative designs and unmatched quality. Modern styling, meticulous craftsmanship, top-notch construction, and state-of-the-art technology are just a few of the hallmarks of both of GAC MOTOR’s international vehicles.
Including the small and fun-to-drive GS3 SUV, the sporty and adaptable GS4 SUV, and the roomy and practical GN6 MPV, GAC MOTOR’s lineup in the Philippines gets a shot of adrenaline with today’s launch. In addition, it showcases the company’s determination to meet its promise to increase access to its high-quality vehicles throughout the Philippines by opening new showrooms and increasing its number of service locations.
Jorge Belzunce, managing director of Astara for Southern Europe and the Philippines, Raoul Picello, managing director of Astara Philippines, and Jun Cajayon, brand head of GAC MOTOR Philippines, were the driving forces behind the event.
“We’re thrilled to start the year on a high note with the highly-anticipated launch of the EMPOW and all new GS8. Both vehicles represent the best that GAC has to offer at a reasonable price range for our Filipino customers. We are determined to reinvigorate the brand and achieve outstanding performance in the market beginning this year,” said Picello.
